Rested against the Thunder and Chet Holmgren this week, Victor Wembanyama did not want to miss the last matches with the Spurs.
The franchise communicated about it this Thursday.
The fault of a back-to-back, the Spurs decided not to take any risks with the health of Victor Wembanyama.
He could have played the match against the Grizzlies and the Thunder this Wednesday evening, but the medical staff decided to make him miss the confrontation against Chet Holmgren.
Wembanyama already back?
Getting injured a few games before the end of the season would be dramatic, not to mention the fact that Wemby will be present with the French team this summer to play in the Olympic Games.
Despite this, don’t count on Victor to rest and watch his teammates from the bench.
In the Spurs’ latest injury report, Victor is already missing from the roster.

Wemby is no longer listed on the Spurs injury report.
Lots of absentees for the Spurs, which is good news for Sidy Cissoko and his minutes.
Wembanyama is no longer on the list, meaning he will be available to face Nikola Jokic’s Nuggets this Friday.
That doesn’t necessarily mean he will play, but everything suggests that Gregg Popovich will give him playing time with two games remaining.
So there’s a chance..

Wemby just wants to play!👽
Despite two small matches remaining, Victor Wembanyama wants to be in the game and intends to help his team recover two new victories. A success against the Nuggets and Nikola Jokic is a great way to end things for Wemby.
