Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry is known for many things.
He’s the NBA‘s all-time leader in 3-point field goals, a two-time MVP, a two-time scoring champion, and he has four championship rings as a member of the Warriors.
But an interaction with a young fan following Golden State‘s most recent win over the Los Angeles Lakers has melted hearts around basketball and elicited a surprising reaction from Curry himself.
After the Warriors defeated the Lakers 134-120 on Tuesday night, Curry stopped on his way back to the locker room to sign an autograph for a young admirer.

Curry’s kind gesture
As Curry walked back to the locker room, his head was turned by a young fan shouting his name.

His father quickly reminded him to thank Curry for taking the time to autograph the white #20 jersey, and Curry was visibly impressed at the interaction between father and son.
Social media applauds Steph
The interaction quickly went viral on Instagram and on X (formerly Twitter), with fans praising Curry for this small act of kindness that could last in the memory for a lifetime.

One person on X said that a moment like this makes being a fan “so special,” while another remarked that Curry was “so wholesome” in his interaction with the young man and his dad.
Multiple users commented on Curry providing inspiration for future generations as a rare media- and fan-friendly superstar.
Curry has received negative press for expressing opposition last year to a proposed low-income housing development near his multi-million dollar home in Silicon Valley.
But this sweet gesture toward a young fan shows that the Warriors sharpshooter does indeed have room in his heart for
