Adam Peaty and fiancée Holly Ramsay have finally spoken publicly about the explosive family feud that has consumed their lives — with the Olympic champion insisting, “We’re not asking for sympathy.”

Tonight, the 30-year-old swimmer issued a powerful statement on social media, accusing members of his own family of “encouraging” damaging and false claims about him, Holly, and his sister Bethany.

The couple, who have remained mostly silent until now, say the drama has become so intense that the police are now involved.

Sharing a written statement online, Adam said:
“Over the past few days, a lot has been reported and comments posted about the private life of Holly and myself. My sister Bethany has also been targeted. This has been almost entirely one-sided… deeply hurtful and upsetting, especially given the false basis upon which we’ve been targeted. What makes it worse is that it has been encouraged by members of my family.”

A Rift That Split the Family

Rumours have circulated that Adam’s personality has changed since meeting Holly and becoming close to the Ramsay family — with critics accusing him of distancing himself from his working-class background.

Adam rejected those claims, writing:
“Bethany, Holly and myself cannot go into detail given an ongoing police investigation into serious matters that arose long before recent events.”

He also stressed that he has always worked hard to be “a worthy partner, father, businessman, friend and athlete,” and said:
“We will get through this — we’re not asking for sympathy. We just ask people to understand that there are always two sides to every story.”

Messages of kindness, he added, had meant “more than you know.”

The feud intensified when Adam’s aunt Louise publicly branded Holly “divisive and hurtful” after Adam’s mum Caroline was left off the guest list for the bride’s Soho Farmhouse hen party. Caroline was later banned from the wedding at Bath Abbey next month.

Bethany attended the hen do alongside Holly’s mum Tana Ramsay and close friend Victoria Beckham.

Caroline later shared a post praising her sister Louise on Instagram, adding:
“To the people being cruel to my sister, please stop. You obviously don’t understand the bond of sisters.”

Police Called Amid Rising Tensions

Last weekend, while Adam was on his stag do in Budapest, Holly reportedly contacted the police over fears he might be assaulted by his brother James upon returning to the UK.

Five officers escorted Adam through passport control when he landed. His brother was later arrested at his home in Staffordshire.

A source close to the couple said:
“This feud is heartbreaking on both sides. But Adam believes his mum Caroline is enabling his brother’s behaviour instead of encouraging him to confront his issues. Caroline must feel torn — it’s a horrible situation.”

Gordon Ramsay, who has supported Holly and Adam throughout, has reportedly offered guidance. One source said:
“He understands — he’s dealt with similar struggles within his own family.”

Adam’s father Mark told The Sun the conflict has spiralled:
“They’re brothers. They’ve always been close, but families argue. This time, it’s gone too far — and there hasn’t been much empathy for Jamie’s mental health difficulties.”

Caroline’s Heartbreaking Plea

Caroline, who supported Adam from his first strokes in the pool to world records, says she just wants the feud to end.

She told the Daily Mail:
“No matter what happens, I want Adam to know I love him. His dad loves him. He can come home and talk to me at any time. There’s nothing he’s done that I couldn’t forgive.”

She added that her “heart has hit rock bottom” watching her son distance himself from the family while growing closer to the Ramsays.

But through it all, Adam maintains he is committed to becoming a better man, writing:
