JoJo Siwa has revealed a major next step in her relationship with Chris Hughes as she shared loved up festive snaps to Instagram on Thursday
JoJo Siwa has revealed a major milestone in her relationship with Chris Hughes, sharing cosy festive photos and confirming the couple will be spending Christmas together this year.
The star told fans she will be celebrating Christmas in the UK with Chris and his family, and will have her own Christmas with her family in America a week earlier
The 22-year-old Dance Moms star took to Instagram on Thursday, posting sweet holiday-themed snaps with the former Love Island contestant, 32. JoJo, dressed in matching Christmas pyjamas, announced she’ll be travelling to the UK to celebrate December 25 with Chris and his family.
JoJo struck up an unlikely romance with Chris after they met on Celebrity Big Brother UK earlier this year
Before making the long trip across the Atlantic, JoJo explained she will celebrate an early Christmas in the U.S. with her own family. Updating fans, she wrote:
“My favourite season. I’ve spent the last three days prepping and getting ready for the holidays, and it’s been LOVELY. It might seem early, but rehearsals for my Black Friday performance start today, then meet-and-greet classes at a few dance studios, then it’s my mom’s birthday… and then Christmas with my family a week early so I can travel to England. Long story short — it’s Christmas now.”
And after things progressed from a friendship to a romance, their relationship has gone from strength to strength with Chris being openly welcomed into JoJo’s family
JoJo and Chris sparked an unexpected romance after meeting on Celebrity Big Brother UK earlier this year. What began as a friendship soon evolved, with the pair growing closer and their relationship strengthening rapidly. Chris has now been warmly welcomed into JoJo’s family.
During her tour last month, JoJo referred to Chris’ parents as her “future in-laws,” after his entire family attended her Birmingham concert. Onstage, she told the crowd she had “guests of honour,” before introducing Chris’ parents Val and Paul Hughes.
Chris surprised JoJo backstage with flowers before the show, telling her he wanted to see her because they wouldn’t be together “for a little while.”
The Crowd laughed as JoJo joked she needed to be on her “best behaviour” with her partner’s parents in the audience.
JoJo and Chris’ relationship has attracted attention not just for its sweetness, but also because JoJo has been open about her sexuality. Addressing questions about her identity, the star clarified she is not straight, saying her relationship with a man does not erase her past.
She previously came out as pansexual and had public relationships with women and a non-binary partner before falling for Chris on Celebrity Big Brother.
Speaking on SiriusXM’s Smith Sisters Live, JoJo revealed she has faced intense criticism from within the LGBTQ+ community for being in a heterosexual relationship, explaining:
“Just because I’m with a man does not mean I’m straight. And even if I were — who cares? I’m still an ally.”
JoJo emphasised that her past relationships remain valid, sharing:
“The first time I ever fell in love was with a woman. I’ve been with women and I’ve been with a non-binary person. And now I’m with a man — but that doesn’t erase anything.”
She added that her love for Chris is unlike anything she has experienced before, saying:
“I’ve never felt a love like his. It’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me.”
As JoJo prepares to split her holidays between the U.S. and the U.K., fans have watched her romance with Chris continue to grow — and these festive photos mark yet another step forward in their evolving journey together.
