Last weekend brought a shock departure when audiences said goodbye to Ellie Goldstein and her professional partner, Vito Coppola, who ended up in the dance-off against Balvinder Sopal and Julian Caillon.

Ellie had won over hearts during her stint on the programme, but in the end, the judging panel chose to keep the EastEnders star, bringing her Strictly journey to a close, reports Wales Online.

This evening’s episode (November 8) represents week seven, with Lewis and Katya launching proceedings.
Within seconds, fans declared Lewis their “champion”, likening his moves to “Patrick Swayze” whilst being captivated by his hip action.
One viewer posted on X: “It will be a 10 for me, I loved that from Katya and Lewis.”

A third remarked, “Lewis is undefeatable for me, just crown him already!” A fourth commented: “Lewis has reached the level where you have to stop and think who in the couple is the professional and who is the contestant as they dance.”

The panel of judges was equally impressed by Lewis’s Cha Cha routine. Shirley Ballas described the display as “so well balanced”, adding, “You did a grand job”.
Anton proceeded to label it as “absolutely brilliant”, declaring: “You do everything so well.”
Whilst Craig Horwood slated Lewis’ routine for lacking “fluidity”, he nevertheless complimented the celebrity’s hip movement.

The judge remarked: “Those hips, my love, were on fire.”
Their routine to ‘I Like It Like That’ secured them a remarkable score of 35, raising the stakes for the other competing pairs.
Supporters also flocked to social media to announce that their new champions were Lewis and Katya, who they predicted would claim the Glitterball trophy within weeks.
