A BBC Breakfast host issued a warning on Monday (November 10) as he shared distressing news after a guest’s d3ath.

During today’s edition of the hit morning programme, presenters Sally Nugent and Jon Kay updated viewers with the latest news from across the UK and around the world.

Jane Dougall was also in the BBC studio to present the sports segment, whilst Carol Kirkwood delivered regular weather forecasts throughout the show.

Later in the broadcast, Sally and Jon reported on the d3ath of 22-year-old Alice Figueiredo, who tragically took her own life while being treated at Goodmayes Hospital in 2015.

“A hospital convicted of serious failings over the d3ath of a young mental health patient had another young woman try to harm herself in what were described as startlingly similar circumstances just four months later. That’s according to leaked documents that were seen by the BBC,” Jon began.

“Just a warning that this story does contain some details you might find upsetting.”
