In a recent share on social media, singer JoJo Siwa shared that she was recently rushed to a hospital. Detailing the story, she explained certain issues that drove her to call 911. Notably, the incident also took place hours before she was set to perform for fans.
JoJo Siwa Was Scheduled To Perform At The Mall Of America Before She Began Feeling Pains
JoJo Siwa first became known to audiences after appearing as a dancer on two seasons of the reality series, Dance Moms. After this, she became known as a singer, including songs “Boomerang” and “Karma.”
Siwa also notably appeared on the British reality series, Celebrity Big Brother, leaving the house in third place. Her time on the show also introduced her to fellow television personality Chris Hughes, with the two confirming a relationship with each other back in June.

Recently, Siwa took to social media to share a photo of herself in a stretcher. This was shared hours before she was set to perform at the Mall of America in Minnesota on Friday, November 28.
Taking to TikTok, Siwa shared an update on TikTok to explain what happened. She shared, “So long story short, every time that I’ve been dancing for the last couple of days or even just like walking like anything, my stomach would just really, really hurt. And I don’t know why, but it just kind of passed, and so I was like, ‘Oh, maybe it’s that time of the month, maybe it’s a cramp, I don’t know.’”
The singer shared she felt she had problems breathing and getting in the bathtub didn’t help to calm her muscles. She noted, “That set it off 100 times worse,” saying she’d feel like she “was gonna black out and… was gonna throw up” if she didn’t get out.
Siwa Shared That An Ultrasound Revealed What The Issue Had Been
Siwa then called her mother, who asked her if she thought she should call 911 and go to the hospital. She agreed, sharing that the EMTs couldn’t figure out what was wrong when they arrived.
After going to the hospital and being put on pain medications, Siwa shared that an ultrasound revealed, “one of my ovaries had a cyst on it that burst. And was bleeding into my stomach.” She continued, “So that’s what was causing the excruciating pain. Anytime that the blood in your stomach moves, that’s the bleeding in the stomach.”

Hoping to reassure fans, Siwa shared the issue “should revolve itself. It should stop on its own.” Thanks to the medication, she also shared she was able to keep her performance at the Mall of America in the end. She also claimed that she was out of the hospital within around “two hours.”
That said, Siwa shared that this wasn’t the end of the story, noting she is set for another checkup in a week. However, she shared that she intends to continue working in the meantime.
As the star noted, “We’re going to keep it pushing. And if I vomit or if I have that excruciating pain burst again, I got to go immediately back in. But we should be okay.”
Siwa also took the time to thank the medical staff for helping her. She also wanted to thank everyone for their “well wishes.”
