I was so sad to hear that La Voix won’t be coming back to Strictly Come Dancing. I’m sure a lot of her fans will be gutted as well, and it is such a shame that this is the way she’s leaving. However, one positive aspect of it is that it is horrible to be the star kicked out at Blackpool. I think it’s good that none of the celebrities are feeling the pressure of whether they’ll be in the dance off.
I won’t be watching the results show tonight as I’m out for the evening. I obviously won’t need to find out who is going home this week, but I’ll be interested to see how they manage to work around the fact that there won’t be a dance-off. I might catch up on it as it’s the Blackpool special, but it’s not quite the same without an elimination. It has been such an unlucky series with people dropping out, and it’s a shame for it to happen during Tess and Claudia’s last series, but hopefully the series will continue at the high standard it has.

I thought Lewis stole the show once again; his Charleston with Katya was just incredible. She really pulls it out of the bag with her choreography, and I do think the reason why the show has let her get away with her indiscretions before is because she can do what so many other people can’t. It was totally mindblowing last night. I think he’s got a bright future ahead of him once the series is over, and I can’t wait to see what he does next.
I wonder if Balvinder would have been the one to go out this week, but she has done so incredibly well, and I’ve noticed a real improvement with her technique, even just over the last few weeks. I think she and Julian are a great partnership as well – you could tell they were very uncertain around each other at the start, but they seem to be very close. But I’d be worried about next week if I were her.

I thought it was so lovely to hear Alex discuss her battle with cancer, too. Strictly does give you the chance to open your soul a bit, and it makes you see that celebrities have problems too. Back in my day, you never discussed anything private, and you would never disclose you were ill because you wouldn’t get booked for any jobs! But I think it’s great that people on TV are being more open now; it does show we’re coming into a new era of television.
After watching her last night, I think Karen Carney could be the dark horse to win the series! To come in as a footballer with no dance background to seeing her dance last night, she has had a real journey and improved so much.
I have said all along that my money has been on Lewis Cope, but last night was the first time I thought he could have some real competition. She was incredible! And the beauty of Strictly is, you just never know what is going to happen.

But I have to say, I don’t think the show should be all about who wins. I didn’t win the show, but I still had such an incredible experience, and it opened so many doors for me.
For a lot of people, I was known as just a magic assistant, but the show allowed me to be seen by a new generation, and there are so many jobs I’ve been given that I would never have had. I won a whole new fan base from the show, so I know that whoever gets to the final, they won’t mind who wins at all!
