During the most recent episode of It Takes Two, BBC presenter Fleur East chatted with Amber Davies and Alex Kingston, after her departure from Strictly Come Dancing on Sunday evening.
While Alex discussed her performance, she revealed sustaining an injury on Saturday morning, which proved a distraction during her live show appearance.
When questioned about her Saturday experience, she responded: “It was a mixed bag really, I was so excited about going to do the Cha Cha Cha. I absolutely was happy because I knew it was in my wheelhouse.
“But, during the day I sustained an injury that just got more aggravated as the day progressed and so, by the time it came to dancing, that kind of distracted me and took all my focus.”
The performer explained to Fleur that it was disappointing she couldn’t deliver the routine she’d hoped to present for viewers or her partner Johannes Radebe because of her injury, reports Wales Online.

Discussing her experience on the programme with presenter Tess Daly, the actress was full of admiration, saying: “I had never in my wildest dreams imagined that I would last this long. It’s been just the most incredible journey for me.
