This Morning viewers gasped as a woman showed off the results of a facelift at just 28 years old – and blasted ‘irresponsible’ ITV for ‘giving her a platform’ during Monday’s episode.
Jade Mandongwe, 28, appeared on the programme alongside Harley Street plastic surgeon William Townley to chat to presenters Cat Deeley, 49, and Ben Shephard, 50, about her decision to go under the knife in Turkey last month.
The trainee solicitor started getting filler and Botox at 24, but when she was 26 decided that it wasn’t working for her anymore and went on to have several consultations with surgeons.
In the end Jade paid £10,000 for a mid facelift, brow lift, breast surgery and to have veneers installed over her teeth.
Cat was keen to find out what Jade wanted to achieve with her look and Jade explained on the show: ‘It wasn’t necessarily achieving a better result. It was about rejuvenation.
‘I was beginning to look very tired. Life gets like that as a trainee solicitor.

‘I’d gone through weight loss journeys in the past and I felt like my skin wasn’t necessarily aging to a point where I needed a complete face lift.
‘It was only a mid face lift, I did start to notice, I want to look more refreshed and rejuvenated.
‘To leave the house and not have to wear loads of make-up.’
Ben pointed out that Instagram was also one of the reasons behind altering her looks.
Jade said: ‘I think my generation and slightly older, we’ve grow up on filters.
‘That can sort of influence how you want to look, especially if you see yourself in real life, you’re not going to look like a Snapchat filter. I wasn’t going for that aesthetic.
‘But sometimes it does make you think maybe I could get something slightly lifted. Nothing too drastic.
‘I went for quite a conservative surgeon as well when I was getting it done.

‘For my profession, I didn’t want to look too overdone.’
Meanwhile surgeon William explained that for people in their 20s, who don’t have an underlying condition, facelifts are not recommended.
‘You’re not treating ageing at that stage, you’re changing someone’s appearance and how they look.
‘You have to tread carefully, because some surgeries are permanent,’ he explained.
Cat asked if it would be performed in the UK, to which William said: ‘I think that we are quite conservative here in the UK. Ultimately, it’s up to the surgeon.
‘They are the gatekeepers of these sorts of procedures.
‘I think speaking as a facelift expert, most people would not advise this surgery in the UK.
‘Our philosophy is to make significant changes to make people feel more confident and happier, but not to change their appearance and keep who they are.’

Many took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their thoughts over the segment – with one saying that it was ‘sad’
He also pointed out that anyone wanting similar surgery would not be able to get what Jade had done for £10,000 in the UK.
The surgeon explained that in the UK a mid facelift could cost between £5,000 and £20,000 and a full facelift is anywhere from £10,000 to £60,000.
Cat wanted to know if there were any risks having surgery so early, to which he said: ‘The actual risks are no different from someone who is 25 and 55.
‘The stakes are higher when you’re younger because the potential complications last for longer. The risks in general are infection, bleeding, but the most important one is outcome.
‘By that I mean not getting the result you want.’
Jade is now six weeks post op and told the hosts that she is ‘still open to surgery’ in the future.
Those watching at home were shocked at what they had saw, considering how young Jade is and took to X to share their thoughts.
‘#ThisMorning as per usual being totally irresponsible by having someone like this on .’
‘having all this done at that age ? #ThisMorning.’
’28 is way too young for a facelift.’
‘This woman’s plastic face at 28 on This Morning. Her future just means more and more facelifts. And where the hell did she get all that money to pay for that unnecessary surgery. She need psychological help.’
