WATCH: Univ. of Iowa celebrates Hawkeye women’s basketball team


IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) – The University of Iowa is holding an end-of-season celebration for the Iowa women’s basketball team on Wednesday at 6:00 pm in Iowa City.

Fans will get to hear from head coach Lisa Bluder, as well as the players, including Hawkeye star Caitlin Clark, and seniors Molly Davis, Kate Martin, and Gabbie Marshall.

The team’s trophies will be on display during the event. It starts at 6 p.m. at Carver Hawkeye Arena.

Parking in the lots surrounding the arena will be available starting at 4:30 p.m.

The Hawkeyes won their third straight Big Ten Tournament title this year and finished with a school record of 34 victories. That’s tied for the most single-season wins in Big Ten Conference History.

The Hawkeyes also advanced to the Championship game for the second straight year where they finished second to the South Carolina Gamecocks 87 to 75.
